IPL 2020 Auction
With a number of pacers expected to feature in the forthcoming IPL 2020 Auction, here are three such fast bowlers who are bound to get a huge bid.

IPL 2020 Auction is fast approaching. While IPL franchises are finalized their squads, a few spots are still up for grabs. In spite of each team adopting a unique approach, their requirements are more or less the same. Two of the glaring requirements are fast bowlers and allrounders in IPL 2020 Auction. The likes of RCB and KXIP are desperately in need for such players heading into this auction. Although this is the final year of the three-year cycle, teams are willing to take the punt. Although the IPL 2020 Players List is due, a couple of fast bowlers standout amongst the rest. Regardless of their age, experience and nationality, the IPL franchises will look to recruit a fast bowler or two in the upcoming auctions. Here are three fast bowlers who could be bought for big bucks in IPL 2020 Auction.

1 Mitchell Starc

Before Jasprit Bumrah sprung into the limelight, Mitchell Starc was heralded as the best in the business. Starc is an Australian left-arm pacer who picked the most wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. His searing pace and ability to bowl the yorker consistently makes him one of the best. Although he hasn’t featured in the IPL for three years, Starc is set to return. RCB is reportedly eyeing a reunion with Mitchell Starc in the IPL 2020 Auction with only two overseas spots filled in their roster.

With Delhi Capitals and possibly, Kings XI Punjab also in the line, there is no dearth in the number of suitors of Mitchell Starc. His previous performances for RCB in IPL 2014 and IPL 2015 were brilliant. While his experience in IPL holds him in good stead, Starc’s wicket-taking ability makes him a worthwhile player.

2 Pat Cummins

Another Australia, Pat Cummins is the top-ranked Test bowler in the world. Although Tests and T20 aren’t the same, Cummins is a quality asset. Blessed with immense pace, Cummins has all the tools, right from a good bumper to a slower one as well. He is also quite handy with the bat and in the field. Although he was bought by Mumbai Indians in IPL 2018, injuries caused him to miss out. With the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 on the horizon, Cummins will be looking to use this platform to warm up for the Big Dance.

3 Jaydev Unadkat

Jaydev Unadkat is a surprise name on this list. Although Unadkat has critically underwhelmed in recent times, he is still a quality bowler with ample IPL experience. He picked over 20 wickets in IPL 2017, which earned him a bumper IPL payday in 2018 and 2018. While the pressure might have gotten into him, Unadkat did do well under the captaincy of Steve Smith in the last few games in IPL 2019.

With the Saurashtra pacer’s experience being a vital asset, he should garner a couple of bids in IPL 2020 Auction as well. Teams such as Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders are in need of an experienced Indian pacer. While there is still a possibility of Jaydev Unadkat being bought back by RR, he should be one of more sought after bowlers in the auction.
